Tasting Notes
Delicate fruit aromas blended with minerality. Complex flavours on the mouth showing some ageing but where the ripe fruit is predominant with chocolate flavours.
Region / Vineyards
The Douro Valley is one of the oldest delimited wine regions in the world dated from 1756. Mostly famous for the production of
fortified Port wine, the Douro Valley is also a great producer of unfortified wines. Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) are considered to be the best grapes over 100 different grapes allowed in the region. The wines remind you of young Port with ripeness and spiciness characteristics present. Vicente Leite de Faria started producing wines in April 2000 continuing a family tradition of wine producers in the Douro Valley, together with the knowledge and experience gathered from many years of practice and responsibility in wine-growing companies. Since then high quality wines are obtained from high potential “terroirs” where parcels of vineyard are carefully chosen. The vinification takes place in cellars situated in the Douro Valley, using a careful technology which aims at exalting and preserving the wine’s quality potential.
Vinification / Ageing
Alcoholic fermentation in a controlled temperature, extended post-fermentative peculiar maceration. Light oak influence.
